Trump says he might be 'the greatest star maker of all time' but some of his stars 'are actually made of garbage'

Former President Donald Trump released a statement Thursday amid a wave of new books.
Trump lamented so many of his former aides agreeing to book interviews, which he's also done.
"Many say I am the greatest star-maker of all time. But some ... are actually made of garbage."
In a statement on Thursday, former President Donald Trump called out former White House aides who have been agreeing to book interviews.
Although Trump has reportedly sat for at least 17 book interviews since leaving office, he has grown frustrated with the damning anecdotes that have emerged in a summer deluge of post-presidency books.
"Nobody had ever heard of some of these people that worked for me in D.C.," Trump wrote in his statement. "All of a sudden, the Fake News starts calling them. Some of them-by no means all-feel emboldened, brave, and for the first time in their lives, they feel like 'something special,' not the losers that they are-and they talk, talk, talk!"
After calling his former staffers "losers," Trump proceeded to add insult to injury, accompanied by a pat on the back for himself.
"Many say I am the greatest star-maker of all time," he continued. "But some of the stars I produced are actually made of garbage."
Around the time Trump's statement went out on Thursday, a new excerpt from one of the forthcoming books revealed that he reportedly needed three takes for his infamous January 6 video, where he called violent insurrectionists "very special" before the video was removed and he was banned from all of the major social media platforms.
