WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – Former president Donald Trump was back on the campaign trail Tuesday, visiting a couple of key battleground states and focusing on the issue he thinks is a winning one for him.

Both Biden and Trump and looking to take on two very different issues during this election.

Biden running on abortion rights and Trump running on immigration.

While in the battleground state of Michigan, Trump blasted the Biden administration on its immigration policies.

“But this is a broader bloodbath and is the day I take the oath of office,” said Trump.

While there he told law enforcement and local leaders the current administration policies are putting American citizens in danger.

“We are being invaded and invaded by a lot of people that are people we don’t want in our country,” said Trump.

The White House blames Republicans for blocking bipartisan border legislation in Congress.

“They had a chance and decided not to act because certain people in the House Republican world wanted a problem rather than a solution,” White House National Security Spokesperson, John Kirby.

The Biden campaign is trying to tie trump to restrictive abortion policies, even releasing a new campaign ad highlighting their differences on abortion.

“I’m running to make Roe v. Wade the law of the land again,” said Biden.

With abortion rights being on the ballot in Florida this November the Biden team is hoping that drives people to the polls.
