(WETM)–Former President Donald Trump now leads President Joe Biden in a new poll done by Emerson College and The Hill, and for 18 News and other Nexstar Media Group stations.

The poll shows Mr. Trump with a two-point lead over the President, with eight percent undecided.

What could be a danger sign for President Biden is the former President’s lead among Pennsylvania’s independent voters. That lead is now 16 points.

New poll shows Trump ahead of Biden in seven key swing states

A bright spot for President Biden is his lead among voters who belong to a labor union. While union members in many other states now give Mr. Trump a lead, in Pennsylvania union members favor the President by seven points.

Our poll also asked Pennsylvania voters if Mr. Trump’s New York City trial will affect the way they vote in November. 71% said the trial, no matter the verdict, would either make them more likely to vote for the former President or would not have an impact on their vote.

Our poll also asked PA voters who they currently favor in the state’s US Senate race. 46% favor incumbent Democrat Bob Casey, while 42% support Republican David McCormick. This race is still up for grabs, as 12% of voters say they remain undecided.

Our poll tracked voters in seven so-called “swing states”, and Former President Trump sees gains in every state from our previous poll.

The poll questioned 1000 registered Pennsylvania voters. It has an error factor of plus or minus three percent, and the questions were asked and responses taken from April 25 through April 29.
