“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin on Tuesday morning argued Donald Trump hasn’t actually been asleep during his New York hush money criminal trial — he’s just been angry.

“People have been reporting that he is asleep,” Hostin said during the show. “He is not asleep; he is enraged. And that's why I think he's so orange, because I think it's red underneath.”

Hostin then went on to say she examined his facial expressions in court and saw him scrunching his face in rage.

“You know, my dog does that when he’s sleeping,” fellow co-host Joy Behar said.

Trump has been mocked over the past few weeks for, according to many reporters in the courtroom, appearing to fall asleep multiple times during the trial.

Trump is charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records as part of a hush money scheme to bury stories of alleged extramarital affairs that he feared could hurt his presidential campaign in 2016. He is the first former president to stand trial on criminal charges.
