Trump to nominate attorney Sullivan for deputy secretary of state

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump plans to nominate attorney John J. Sullivan of Maryland to be deputy Secretary of State, the White House said on Tuesday. It said in a statement he would also serve as deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources. Sullivan, 57, served in the Bush administration as deputy secretary of the Commerce Department and as deputy general counsel in the Defense Department. (Editing by Eric Walsh; Editing by Sandra Maler)
