Donald Trump on Thursday proposed that President Biden be drug-tested before he debates him, and claimed without evidence that Biden was “higher than a kite” during his State of the Union address last month.

“He was all jacked up at the beginning. By the end, he was fading fast,” Trump said on “The Hugh Hewitt Show.”

“You know that white stuff that they happen to find, which happened to be cocaine, in the White House? I don't know. I think something's going on there,” Trump said, referring to cocaine found at the White House last year. There is no evidence that the cocaine belonged to Biden.

The former president — who on Tuesday taunted his successor and likely general election opponent with an empty lectern at a Wisconsin rally — also said he wishes to debate Biden, but wants him to be drug tested.

“Mr. President, are you suggesting President Biden's using cocaine?” Hewitt asked Trump.

“I don't know what he's using, but that was not — hey, he was higher than a kite,” Trump said about the State of the Union, repeating a right-wing conspiracy theory about Biden’s energy in the address.
