The Trump campaign released an ad Saturday drawing attention to several times President Biden has stumbled or fallen, harping on his age hours after the incumbent’s campaign unveiled a spot promoting the president’s age as an asset.

The Trump ad, titled “Not a Young Guy,” begins with the same opening footage from the Biden campaign ad, with the president telling the camera, “Look, I’m not a young guy.”

It is followed by roughly 40 seconds of footage of instances where Biden tripped up the stairs, fell down on his bike or appeared confused as he exited the stage after giving remarks.

The campaign’s ad marks the second time in recent days Trump-aligned groups have gone after the president on the question of his age. Make America Great Again Inc. launched an ad earlier in the week that questioned whether Biden could survive through the end of a second term.

Biden’s age has been a persistent issue for the White House as he seeks reelection. The president, who is currently 81, would be 86 at the end of a potential second term.

A recent New York Times/Siena College poll found 73 percent of registered voters said they either strongly or somewhat agree that Biden is too old to be an effective president.

Trump, the likely GOP nominee, is 77 and would be 82 at the end of a potential second term if he wins in November. He has faced some scrutiny for his own verbal slips, such as when he confused former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Nikki Haley, his GOP rival.

The Biden campaign ad released earlier Saturday will air in major battleground states and connects the president’s age with his ability to get things done during his first term.

Donald Trump believes the job of a president is to take care of Donald Trump,” Biden says in the ad. “I believe the job of a president is to fight for you, the American people, and that’s what I’m doing.”

In an outtake at the end of the ad, Biden says, “Look, I’m very young, energetic and handsome, what the hell am I doing this for?”
