STORY: :: Donald Trump condemns his New York

hush money trial, calling it 'a big disgrace'

:: New York

"All over the world, they're watching this trial and they're saying what a disgrace this is. And a big disgrace to New York. You know, I love this state. I love this city. And they better get it back. They've got to get the legal system because businesses are leaving. People are fleeing. The businesses are leaving because they can't go through what I'm going through."

"It's never happened to another candidate or another person what's happening here And, today we had a very, I think a very good day for you to see what's happening. And you'll have to report it because I can't talk about it too much."

Trump, 77, the 2024 Republican presidential candidate, has pleaded not guilty and denies any sexual encounter with adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

He has characterized the case as a partisan attempt to interfere with his campaign to take back the White House he lost in 2020 to Democratic President Joe Biden.
