On Sunday, Trump posted a doctored video in which he is seen knocking down WWE CEO Vince McMahon, who has a CNN logo superimposed on his face.

The footage came from 2007’s Wrestlemania.

In the tweet, Trump used the hashtags #FraudNewsCNN #FNN as he slammed the cable news network.

The tweet now has more than 329,000 retweets, over 141,000 comments and over 549,000 likes, making it his most successful tweet since moving into the White House.

CNN responded to the video soon after it was posted, saying it was "a sad day."

"It is a sad day when the president of the United States encourages violence against reporters," the network said in a statement. "Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the president had never done so."

The statement went on: "Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, ‎dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill, he is involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his."

The tweet is part of the White House's ongoing feud with news media, which Press Secretary Sean Spicer once called the people's "enemy."
