Tropical system has 10% chance of forming into a cyclone
A seven-day tropical weather outlook has identified a storm system with a 10% chance of forming into a cyclone.
There’s a large area of cloudiness and showers over the southwestern Atlantic, according to the National Hurricane Center.
The area of low pressure could form within a few hundred miles north of Hispaniola.
Weather experts said conditions aren’t expected to be conducive to a tropical or subtropical development, but it is possible.
There is a 10% chance of formation in the next 48 hours and through seven days.
