Tropical Storm Nate Brings Widespread Flooding to Panama

Tropical Storm Nate had killed at least 22 people in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Honduras by October 6, before it moved north towards the US.

Local media in Panama reported that several regions were flooded following heavy rains, forcing emergency services to evacuate people from their homes. This video shows flooding from the San Pablo river.

Meanwhile, in the United States, a hurricane watch was in effect from Morgan City, Louisiana, to the Mississippi-Alabama border, including metropolitan New Orleans, Lake Pontchartrain, and Lake Maurepas. Credit: Twitter/Ney Abdiel via Storyful
