Troopers find car involved in deadly hit-and-run crash in Orange County

A car involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash late Thursday in Orange County was found Friday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said they have taken possession of the 2010 Mitsubishi Galant to process it for evidence.

They did not specify where the car was found.

Investigators said a 28-year-old man was killed in the crash at Curry Ford Road and Colton Drive near South Goldenrod Road.

His identity has not been released.

Anyone with information about the crash or the driver is asked to call FHP at 407-737-2213.

Foursquare, the location-focused outfit that in 2020 merged with Factual, another location-focused outfit, is joining the parade of companies to make cuts to one of its biggest cost centers – employees – in 2024. Per an email sent out to staffers Thursday afternoon by current CEO Gary Little and viewed by TechCrunch, 105 employees were just let go as the company seeks to “streamline” its operations, and “set the company on more sustainable financial footing.” Impacted employees saw their system access removed upon receipt of Foursquare’s notification email.

The European Space Agency selected two companies on Wednesday to advance designs of a cargo spacecraft that could establish the continent’s first sovereign access to space. The two awardees, major aerospace prime Thales Alenia Space and French startup The Exploration Company, will receive €25 million ($27 million) each to advance concepts for vehicles that can transport cargo to and from stations in low Earth orbit.
