Young debutant Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is happy to be thrown straight into the deep end for his test debut.
The 20-year-old's international career will start in the Kiwis' World Cup opener against Samoa this morning.
Tuivasa-Sheck says it's unexpected.
"Didn't expect to get my debut so early in the world cup, thought I'd have to build up for it or wait for one of our boys to go down.
"But pretty happy that coach has faith in me and supports me to play this week, I can't wait for it."
Kickoff is at 7am.
