TriState partners with new radiology service

Apr. 3—TriState Health is now partnering with Phoenix Radiology PLLC, of Lewiston, to provide additional radiology reading services in Clarkston.

Phoenix Radiology will replace Twin Cities Radiology, which served TriState for 25 years.

"Our previous radiologist group left a wonderful legacy, and now we have the opportunity to build on that legacy with the latest technology and our new radiologist partner," said Wendy Stirnkorb, director of imaging services at TriState.

Phoenix Radiology is a group of board-certified physicians who also serve as interpreting radiologists for St. Joseph Regional Medical Center and Valley Medical Center, both of Lewiston, and Syringa General Hospital, of Grangeville.

The partnership will allow TriState to offer additional services including peripherally inserted central catheter insertion and removal, and dialysis catheter placement and removal.

TriState will continue to provide services it already offered including CT and ultrasound guided biopsies, lumbar punctures, drains and other routine services, as well as new services such as breast magnetic resonance imaging, prostate MRI and coronary CT angiograms in the near future.

The partnership also will allow for after-hours access to a physician to read scans for inpatient or emergency room cases.

"Our ability to provide the appropriate care to our patients, here in our community, is exciting!" Stirnkorb said. "What a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those we see every day!"
