TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center expands services, reach in Sumner County

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center recently expanded its services and reach in Sumner County with a new CareNow Urgent Care center in Gallatin.

The Gallatin location is not the first for Sumner County, as another location on Indian Lake Blvd in Hendersonville also serves the community.

But no matter where patients are being served, urgent care center staff work to care for the community and support its healthcare needs.

“We fundamentally believe in caring for our community and supporting our neighbors’ healthcare needs and that resonates with our employees here. They’re people taking care of people and they’re passionate about bringing high-quality services to the Sumner County community and the surrounding area,” TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center CEO Justin Coury said.

And with the area’s continued growth this expansion of services will allow more from the community to be seen closer to home.

“As we all know this area is experiencing tremendous growth and so we’ve recognized the need to invest more in the community, so that we can bring those high-quality services close to home, so that people don’t have to travel far distances to get high-quality care,” Coury said.

“We want to provide locations that make access to care more convenient, closer to those who need that care, closer to their homes and CareNow, part of the TriStar network, is a great service for urgent care needs,” he said.

A recent $80 million expansion project was announced by TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center earlier this year, on top of previously announced investments worth about $136 million over the last few years.

“I think that, along with the CareNow (facility), is an example of our commitment to bringing nationally recognized care to the Sumner County community and beyond.”

The $80 million expansion is slated to include the addition of 32 inpatient beds, eight intensive care unit beds, additional space for support services and add more than 75,000 square feet to the health center.

This adds to the $56 million in initiatives completed or announced on site in 2022, including a $21 million expansion of the Birth Center featuring six birthing suites, four neonatal ICU rooms and an OB assessment area.

“There’s been quite an impressive list of approvals and capital granted to TriStar Hendersonville to continue to meet the needs of the county and I think this CareNow Urgent Care is a testament to the growth in the county and the need to continue to provide access points for our patients to get the care they need,” he said.

CareNow Urgent Care is accredited through the Urgent Care Association, the highest level of distinction for urgent care centers, Coury said.

Web check-in and telehealth services allow patients to reduce their wait times or avoid the office altogether. Same day treatment is provided to patients seven days a week, 365 days a year.
