ATHENS, Texas (KETK) — The men’s basketball coach for Trinity Valley Community College resigned and is headed to his alma mater, the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

According to the college, with Martin Levinson’s tenure coming to an end, the search to find the college’s 13th head men’s basketball coach begins immediately, making it the third time in three years.

“With this being the peak of the recruiting season, we want to get someone in here as soon as possible,” Kite said. “But above that, we want to make the right hire for our program.”

Levinson took on the role in April 2023, since then he and his team have won a second consecutive Region XIV championship, qualified for the NJCAA tournament and posted a 27-8 record.
