Trinity River Swells as Heavy Rain Brings Flooding to Dallas-Fort Worth

Texas’ Trinity River swelled as heavy rain brought deadly flooding to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area on Monday, August 22.

Dallas County, which was hardest hit by Monday’s flood and declared a state of disaster, called for state and federal funds to assist with recovery efforts.

Dallas County also reported a 60-year-old woman was killed when the vehicle she was
in was swept away by floodwaters.
