Triceratops Fossil Discovered at a Construction Site in Thornton, Colorado

Construction workers in Thornton, Colorado, discovered the fossil of a triceratops on August 25.

The fossil dates back to more than 66 million years ago, said Denver Museum of Nature and Science curator Joe Sertich, and is only the third triceratops skull to be found in the Front Range area. Credit: City of Thornton via Storyful
