Tri-Cities openings: New grocery store + Chiropractic walk-in clinic

Grocery Outlet will open a new store in Prosser on April 25.

The newest Grocery Outlet is owned and operated by Madelyn and Santiago Rodriguez and will employ 27 workers.

To celebrate, the company will donate $500 to Historic Downtown Prosser and to Jubilee Ministry of Prosser.

Grocery Outlet, based in Emeryville, Calif., is an extreme value retailer. It has nearly 470 locations in nine states, including Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Stores are owned by independent operators.

In the Tri-Cities, the company has stories in Kennewick, Richland and Pasco.

The Prosser grocery is at 1313 Meade Ave.

Grocery Outlet reported $108 million in adjusted net income on nearly $4 billion in sales in 2023 and aims to expand its store base by 10% each year.

Flower power Columbia Gardens restrooms

The new shipping container-turned restroom at Columbia Gardens’ Wine & Artisan Village is now an art venue as well.

The Port of Kennewick installed the new restroom to serve visitors to the wine-oriented village and food truck plaza near the cable bridge.

The former shipping container is now covered with flowery designs created by P.S. Media and installed by Mustang Signs. Each wall highlights a different flower.

Tri-Cities muralist Cameron Milton (MeltingMiltons.com) added finish touches, including painting an an electrical conduit green to create the illusion of a stem.

“The port has identified public art as an essential element of economic development,” said Tim Arntzen, the port’s CEO. “The previously stark white container offered a perfect canvas to upscale a highly visible yet mundane industrial box, bringing new artwork to the wine and artisan village.”

Chiropractic walk-in clinic

Motus Chiropractic has opened a walk-in clinic at 4845 Broadmoor Blvd., Pasco serving patients with back and neck pain, headaches and migraines, sciatica, sports injuries, posture correction and pregnancy-related discomfort.

It is led by Dr. Jared Leifer, a graduate of Logan University, and Taylor Leifer, who graduated with a degree in exercise physiology from BYU Idaho.

Home health franchise lands in Kennewick

Marie and Patrick Johansing have opened Synergy HomeCare of Tri-Cities in Kennewick.

Synergy is a franchise-based business that provides non-medical care to help people remain in their homes.

Patrick Johansing is a former naval architect with the Department of Defense who became a family physician. Marine Johansing worked as a test engineer for DOD, working on aircraft carriers.

Synergy HomeCare Tri-Cities is at 30 S. Louisiana St., Suite 211, and available to serve residents of Benton and Franklin counties.
