Transformer fire closes lanes on Cumberland Boulevard, delays across Harvey Taylor Bridge

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – A transformer fire caused traffic delays on the Cumberland Boulevard, Camp Hill Bypass, and the Harvey Taylor Bridge on Wednesday night March 20.

According to Camp Hill Police, 911 received multiple calls regarding the fire and power outages in the area of Cumberland Boulevard near Seibert Park. The downed tree is in the westbound lane between the exits for 21st St. South and Cumberland Boulevard.

WHTM Morning Weather

According to PPL, hundreds of residents in the area were without power following the incident. As of Thursday morning, power had been restored.

Camp Hill Police say the southbound lanes of Cumberland Boulevard will be closed for several hours. As of about 5 a.m. Thursday morning, all lanes were still closed, according to 511PA.
