With transfer portal deadline passed, here's which Jackson State football players entered

At least a dozen players listed on the Jackson State spring football roster have announced they are transferring since the spring game on April 24.

Jackson State coach Deion Sanders said after the game that he would evaluate players and give them candid feedback on whether or not JSU had future plans for them.

The deadline for players to enter their names in the transfer portal was May 1.

Now that the deadline has passed, here's a look at which JSU players are leaving the program.

Aalah Brown

Freshman, wide receiver

Skinny: Three-star receiver who picked JSU over Cincinnati and Coastal Carolina among others. Appeared in one game last season. Will have three years of eligibility left.

Cedrick Moffett

Junior, cornerback

Skinny: Moffett spent time at the junior college level after playing at Pearl. Will have two years of eligibility left.

Jordyn Williams

Sophomore, wide receiver

Skinny: Three-star receiver who played for Sanders at Trinity Christian. He signed with Indiana before transferring to JSU in December of 2021.

Damon Bell

Freshman, safety

Skinny: The 6-foot-2, 205-pound defensive back from North Little Rock redshirted last year.

Demonte Holliman

Junior, cornerback

Skinny: The Jackson native spent two seasons at Holmes Community College before transferring. "Great tough player that is coachable and practices hard every day. We're going to miss this young man," wrote Sanders on Instagram.

Kaleb Graham

Freshman, offensive lineman

Skinny: The Terry product redshirted during the spring of 2020.

Cedric Dunbar

Junior, offensive linemen

Skinny: Dunbar was a mainstay for the offensive line in 2019, appearing in all 11 games. The Natchez native saw less playing time in the spring of 2020 when he appeared in three games.

Trey Lockhart

Sophomore, Safety

Skinny: Lockhart posted a pair of tackles and an interception last season. "He's a great young man that's smart as heck," wrote Sanders.

CJ Nunnally

Freshman, defensive lineman

Skinny: Offers included East Carolina. Had a productive prep career, but didn't find much playing time at JSU.

Markeyvrick Eddie

Sophomore, Cornerback

Skinny: The 5-10 defensive back from New Iberia, Louisiana, played in one game and made one tackle last season.

Stephen Singleton

Freshman, Defensive Lineman

Skinny: The 6-2, 240-pound defensive end redshirted.

James Reddick II

Freshman, offensive lineman

Skinny: Was ranked as a two-star interior offensive lineman. Other offers included Gardner-Webb, South Alabama, and Tennessee State.
