Quote: "In the city of Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast, the State Investigation Bureau of Ukraine detained a chief forest ranger who collaborated with the occupiers while the city was under siege. He was in charge of forestry and timber harvesting needed for building fortifications and dugouts for the occupiers".

Details: The Prosecutor’s Office reports that the man held the office of the "head" of the Vovchansk Forestry state enterprise. After successful counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he tried to conceal this fact but was arrested. He will be accused of treason (Article 111, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Apart from that, two former policemen who collaborated with Russians were busted in Vovchansk and Kupiansk.

The one in Kupiansk conducted searches in the houses of his colleagues, seized their service weapons and persuaded them to collaborate with the occupiers.

The second suspect assumed the office of an "investigator" in a self-styled police department in Kupiansk in April, and then Russians promoted him to the rank of a "head of department". The occupiers provided him with an UAZ Patriot vehicle with a Latin letter "Z" painted on it. The suspect’s duties were to conduct interrogations and scene inspection.

The ex-policemen were accused of treason (Article 111, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) in absentia. Both will get a lifelong sentence with the confiscation of property.
