Aubrey Plaza follows "Monsters University" with "Life After Beth."

Zach gets another chance at true love when his girlfriend comes back into his life, and he's not too put off by the fact she's now a zombie.

With Dane DeHaan of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and Aubrey Plaza of "Parks and Recreation" in the lead roles, "Life After Beth" rounds out its cast with the likes of John C. Reilly, Molly Shannon, Paul Reiser,
Cheryl Hines and Matthew Gray Gubler.

And if DeHaan isn't yet known for comedy acting, he's certainly demonstrated an engaging versatility in between "Lincoln," "Chronicle," "The Place Beyond the Pines" and TV series "In Treatment."

It's a directorial debut for Jeff Baena, who wrote 2004's "I Heart Huckabees" with David O. Russell and worked on upcoming "Revenge of the Jocks" for "Jackass" director Jeff Tremaine.

With an August 15 release date set (October 3 in the UK), "Life After Beth" reaches US cinemas the same week as action film "The Expendables 3" and sci-fi tale "The Giver."
