Tractor-trailer, other vehicles fatally strike pedestrian on Highway 99 in Stockton

(FOX40.COM) — A pedestrian died after being fatally struck by multiple vehicles, including a tractor-trailer on Highway 99 early Friday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to the CHP, the pedestrian walked into the roadway near the Crosstown Freeway around 4:40 a.m. and was initially hit by a southbound tractor-trailer.

CHP said the driver, who was going between 40 to 50 mph, pulled over.

The pedestrian was then struck by multiple other vehicles.

All southbound Highway 99 lanes in the area were closed as a result of the crash.
