Tractor-trailer crash on I-81 in Botetourt County now cleared

UPDATE: 11: 08 A.M. ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The earlier reported crash on I-81 North in Botetourt County is now cleared, according to VDOT.

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Traffic is backed up for almost two miles after a tractor-trailer crashed on Interstate 81 North in Botetourt County on Thursday morning.

The Virginia Department of Transportation says the crash occurred at mile marker 172, in the Harvey area.

Drivers traveling in this area can expect delays, and the north-left lane and right and left shoulders are currently closed.

First responders are on the scene and are working to clear the crash.
