The Only Way Is Essex's Georgia Bright has been hospitalised after becoming unwell with sepsis.

Sharing the news on her Instagram page, Georgia's mum Debbie revealed that her daughter had become unwell with what she believed to be tonsillitis before ending up hospitalised after her condition deteriorated.

"Not sure how I start to write this but the aim of this post is to highlight the importance of a window of opportunity you may have," Debbie, who is mum to Georgia and ex-TOWIE star Lydia Bright, wrote.

"All too often we take our health for granted, we believe our bodies are doing just fine."

Debbie went on to add that she'd moved her daughter in with her, before a trip to hospital revealed that Georgia had been actually suffering from sepsis.

"48,000 people die of sepsis every year please always look out for the following signs," she continued, highlighting the symptoms of the life-threatening illness – which include confusion, jaundice, photophobia and blood in urine.

Ending the post, she tagged the charity UK Sepsis Trust and urged her followers listen to their bodies.

"I love you @xgeorgiabrightx my little fighter."

Debbie's comments were flooded with well-wishes for her daughter, with TOWIE stars Jess Wright, Ferne McCann, Carol Wright and Amber Dowding all sending their support.

Georgia also responded to her mum's post, writing that she wouldn't have been able to get through the past few weeks without her.

"I wouldn’t have been able to get through these last 2 weeks without you. My complete rock. I couldn’t possibly love you anymore," she commented.

She previously shared her appreciation for her mum's help, posting a photo of the pair on her Instagram alongside the caption: "I Don't Know What I'd Do Without You @xdebbietowiex."
