Tornado Watch in effect until 9pm for the Four States

JOPLIN, Mo. — The National Weather Service has issued two Tornado Watches for the Four State Region.

Northeast Oklahoma counties (including Delaware, Ottawa, Craig & Mayes) are under the Tornado Watch until 6 pm.

All of southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas, and a portion of southeast Kansas (Cherokee and Crawford) are under a Tornado Watch until 9 pm.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed much of our area in an Enhanced Risk of severe weather (orange), as well as Slight (yellow), and Marginal (green).

Baseball-size hail, damaging thunderstorm winds, and a tornado are possible with the storms this afternoon and evening.

Large, golf ball size hail has already fallen in Grove, Oklahoma (see video).
