Tornado Warning canceled for Henry County

UPDATE: The National Weather Service has canceled the Tornado Warning for Henry County.


KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for Henry County in west central Missouri until 7:30 p.m.

If you are in this area, please head to the basement or seek shelter immediately.

Just before 7 p.m., the NWS reported a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado near Montrose, 15 miles southwest of Clinton, Missouri.

Just before 6:30 p.m. a confirmed tornado was located near Rich Hill.

The warning for Bates County was canceled by the NWS just before 7 p.m.

Just after 6:40 p.m. the NWS reported a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado near Appleton City.

The Tornado Warning is for northeastern Holt County, western Nodaway County, and southeastern Atchison County has been canceled.

Just before 6:20 p.m., a confirmed tornado was located over Skidmore, about 11 miles west of Maryville, according to the NWS.
