Topeka restaurants mark St. Patrick’s Day with food, drink specials

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Multiple restaurants in Topeka are going green this weekend with food and cocktail specials alongside other fun ways to help you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year.

To help locals feel the luck of the Irish this weekend, many restaurants have some special deals to offer. Take a look at the list below to find a place to get you in the mood for finding that pot of gold in 2024.

The Pennant

  • What: Food and drink specials with a St. Patrick’s Day theme can be found at The Pennant in downtown Topeka this weekend. Drinks include Irish refraction, Irish trashcan, Gunness stout, green tea shot and more. Food deals include the risky reuben and reuben fries.

  • Where: 915 South Kansas Avenue

  • When: Friday, March 15 to Sunday, March 17

Abigail’s Grill & Bar

  • What: Abigail’s invites people to stop by this weekend for drink specials. These include $5 car bombs, ‘$5 ‘Jameson’ and $3.50 Guiness bottles.

  • Where: 3701 SW Plaza Drive

  • When: Saturday, March 16

Glazed Goose Bar & Grill

  • What: Irish cuisine is being offered by the Glazed Goose for customers as part of its St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Corned beef hash and eggs, gizzard platter and a fish and chips platter are some of the menu items being showcased. Drinks for $5 are also available such as Irish coffee, pot-o-gold, drunk leprechaun and more.

  • Where: 5630 SW 29th Street

  • When: Saturday, March 16. Breakfast menu available from 8 a.m. to 11: a.m. Bagpipes will start to play at 6 p.m.

Increasing cloud cover tonight, pleasant Saint Patrick’s Day

Happy Basset Barrel House

  • What: Grab a mug of green beer at this local brewery in south Topeka for St. Patrick’s Day. The ‘Cooking with Mike’ food truck will be on location for the festivities with music coming from bag pipes and the band ‘Black Water Blind’ in the afternoon.

  • Where: 510 SW 49th Street

  • When: St. Patrick’s Day celebration starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16. Bag pipes start at 4 p.m. and Black Water Blind starts playing at 6:30 p.m.

Celtic Fox Irish Pub and Restaurant

  • What: It wouldn’t be St. Patrick’s Day in Topeka without this Irish-themed restaurant being mentioned. The Celtic Fox is offering drink deals for customers along with an Irish breakfast for early risers. The band, ‘Chance Encounter,’ will also be on location to provide live music. Drink specials include $6 Smithwick’s, $6 Guinness and $7 Jameson.

  • Where: 118 SW Eighth Avenue

  • When: Irish breakfast starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 16. Chance Encounter will start playing at 1 p.m.

Ryan’s Pub

  • What: Live music and food trucks will be some of the fun features present at Ryan’s Pub this weekend. Drink specials for Irish car bombs and Tullamore dew honey shots can also be found here.

  • Where: 2910 SW Oakley Avenue, Ste D

  • When: Saturday, March 15. ‘Flavor Wagon’ food truck from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and ‘Saturdays BBQ’ food truck from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Kansas Territorial Pipes & Drums perform at 5 p.m.

Annie’s Place

  • What: Annie’s Place is offering customers corned beef reuben along with corned beef and cabbage with red potatoes this weekend.

  • Where: 4014 SW Gage Center Drive

  • When: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17

  • What: Irish-themed food, music and fun can all be found at this Topeka restaurant for St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Blind Tiger says people can enjoy Blarney Irish ale or Irish red lager this weekend along with Irish food specials like Irish stew, shepherd’s pie and bangers and mash.

  • Where: 417 SW 37th Street

  • When: 11 a.m. on Friday, March 15 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 17

Culver’s

  • What: Get in the mood for St. Patrick’s Day by visiting the Culver’s location in Topeka. Here, you can get a grilled reuben melt along with a classic mint shake for St. Patrick’s Day.

Iron Rail Brewing

  • What: New cocktails are being put on the menu at Iron Rail Brewing in downtown Topeka for St. Patrick’s Day weekend. These include tropical tide, the empress and the espresso martini.

  • Where: 705 South Kansas

  • When: N/A
