Top-Rated Luxury Cars in the 2017 Initial Quality Study

For 30 years, the annual J.D. Power Initial Quality StudySM (IQS) has served as a benchmark assessment of owner satisfaction with new-vehicle quality. The 2017 IQS, based on responses from more than 77,000 new-vehicle owners during the first 3 months of their ownership experience, measures design and defect problems with new vehicles.

J.D. Power formulates Power Circle Ratings derived from this research. These ratings visually represent and summarize the study’s findings, helping consumers when they shop for a new vehicle.
