Get ready to head to the “Danger Zone” this April when Kenny Loggins makes a stop in Fort Worth on the singer’s final concert tour.

The “Danger Zone” and “Footloose” singer is embarking on one final concert tour across the country this spring. Loggins will make his Fort Worth stop on the “This Is It” tour at Dickies Arena on April 28 at 7:30 p.m.

Loggins’ association with the “Top Gun” franchise raises Fort Worth connections — most notably Lockheed Martin and Skunk Works’ creation of the hypersonic test aircraft, Darkstar, in the blockbuster movie “Top Gun: Maverick.”

In preparation for making “Maverick,” Tom Cruise visited Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth in August 2018. Cruise even flew his own P-51 to Tarrant County.

It is hard to speak of “Top Gun” without Loggins’ music, including “Danger Zone” and “Playing With the Boys.” Unfortunately for Loggins, his remake of his hit songs never made the second movie.

Loggins, 75, has been cranking out hits since 1970s and grew to even higher fame after contributing to several high-profile movie soundtracks. From writing and performing songs for “Footloose” and “Top Gun”, to “Caddyshack” and “Over the Top,” Loggins became known as “The Soundtrack King.”

Tickets go on sale on Ticketmaster Friday at 10 a.m. However, fans can grab pre-sale tickets courtesy of Dickies Arena, between 10 a.m. Wednesday and 10 p.m. Thursday by visiting Ticketmaster and using the promo code: DICKIES.

Band Yacht Rock Revue will join Loggins at his Fort Worth show.

“I’ll be playing songs that I feel sum up the emotional story of my music,” Loggins said in a press release. “This will include 90 percent of the hits and 10 or so percent of the deeper cuts.”
