Top 5 Captain Picard Moments on Captain Picard Day

Happy Captain Picard Day! On Star Trek: The Next Generation, it was an actual day celebrated by children aboard the Enterprise, much to Captain Jean-Luc Picard’s chagrin — and since 2007, fans have celebrated the day every June 16. The date for the celebration was chosen because of its equivalence to Stardate 47457.1. It was first mentioned in The Next Generation episode “The Pegasus.”

The kids aboard the Enterprise honored Picard with drawings, paintings, and models of him, but we celebrated with a cup of the captain’s favorite drink — Earl Grey, hot — and by putting together a list of the best Captain Picard moments ever.
