Top 9 Movies And TV Shows Leaving Netflix In June 2017

It’s that time of the month again where Netflix wipes out a number of movies and TV series from its service and adds new ones. For the month of June, there aren’t as many classics leaving the service, but there are a few films leaving that many will be sad to see gone. For people who grew up in the 1990s, movies such as “The Little Rascals” and “D2: The Mighty Ducks” will be gone on June 1. For TV fans, “Private Practice” and “CSI: NY” will be both be gone at the end of the month. Check out the nine top movies and shows you can’t miss before they disappear:

1. “D2: The Mighty Ducks” Leaving June 1

It’s no “Mighty Ducks,” but this sequel to the 1992 film is still a good watch for any 90’s kid who is feeling nostalgic. After being forced to withdraw from minor league hockey following an injury, Gordon Bombay is given the chance to coach Team USA for the Junior Goodwill games. Gordon gathers the original Mighty Ducks team along with some new faces to face off against the world.

2. “Honey, I Shrunk The Kids” Leaving June 1

Like any mad scientist, Wayne Szalinski has his share of nutty inventions, including a shrinking machine. While trying to get his machine to work, Szalinksi’s accidentally shrinks his kids and ends up throwing them out in the trash. Now a quarter of an inch tall, the kids must make their way back home.

3. “The Blair Witch Project” Leaving June 1

The film that popularized the found-film genre, “The Blair Witch Project” is a must-see movie. Set in Maryland, students stumble upon a film made by three students who were exploring the woods for an urban legend. The film is made up of what the students found on the video.

4. “The Little Rascals” Leaving June 1

Based on the classic “Our Gang” shorts, the He-Man Woman Haters Club is threatened when member Alfalfa falls in love with a girl. While Alfalfa tries to woo the new love of his life, Darla, his friends from the club try to sabotage their relationship.

5. “This Is Spinal Tap” Leaving June 1

In this mockumentary, legendary British rock band, Spinal Tap, has their American comeback tour filmed by a fan. The resulting documentary features the band’s music mixed in with behind-the-scenes footage.

6. “The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975” Leaving June 1

While this documentary leaves out important information from the movement, it’s still an important piece of film that features appearances from Angela Davis, Harry Belafonte, Questlove, Talib Kweli and more.

7. “Private Practice” (Seasons 1-6) Leaving June 6

The Shonda Rhimes-created show lasted six seasons on ABC, and if you want to binge watch the series, you have until June 6 to do so. A spinoff of “Grey’s Anatomy,” the series follows the life of Dr. Addison Montgomery as she joins a private practice in Los Angeles.

8. “Jane Eyre” Leaving June 16

Based on the 1847 novel of the same name, the film follows Jane Eyre, a mousy governess who soon discovers her employer is hiding a terrible secret. The movie stars Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender, Jamie Bell and Judi Dench.

9. “CSI: NY” (Seasons 1-8) Leaving June 29

While the final ninth season isn’t available on Netflix, Seasons 1 through 8 of the CBS series are — but they’ll be gone on June 29.
