Tonya Couch, Mom of Infamous 'Affluenza' Teen, Now Working as Bartender: Report

Now that a judge has released her from house arrest, the 49-year-old mother of Texas "affluenza" teen Ethan Couch has a new job: bartender.

PEOPLE confirms a judge lifted Tonya Couch's home confinement order on Tuesday before directing her to continue wearing an electronic monitoring device. Couch is also prohibited from consuming alcohol or drugs as she awaits her upcoming trial.

But she is not barred from serving alcohol, a court official tells PEOPLE. Fox 4 News in Dallas obtained an exclusive photograph showing Couch behind the bar, serving drinks at the Honky Tonk Woman Saloon in Azle, a Fort Worth suburb.

The station reports that Couch has been employed by the bar for the last month.

Earlier this year, Couch was charged with hindering apprehension of a felon and money laundering. The two charges are related to allegations she helped her son escape to Mexico back in December.

Investigators allege Couch withdrew $30,000 from a bank account before fleeing the United States for Mexico and telling her ex-husband he would never see his son again.

After allegedly spending several weeks on the run, Couch and her son were found by authorities inside an apartment in Puerto Vallarta. Police pinpointed their position after one of them used a cell phone to order Domino's Pizza.

Ethan Couch was 16 when he killed four pedestrians in a drunk driving accident in 2013. He was spared jail time and instead given 10 years probation when his lawyer argued that he suffered from "affluenza" – that his wealthy, indulged upbringing precluded him from knowing right from wrong.

The mother and son took off to Mexico last year after video surfaced apparently showing Couch at a party with alcohol – a possible probation violation.

Prosecutors allege Couch violated the terms of his probation, which prohibited him from drinking alcohol or using illicit drugs.

In April, a judge sentenced Ethan Couch to 720 days in jail, or nearly two years, for violating his probation. He received a six-month sentence for each of the four people he killed. A month later, the judge upheld his own ruling.

Ethan Couch is serving his sentence in a Tarrant County jail.
