Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson Sold Two Neighboring Properties for $17.5 Million

As one of the biggest stars in the world, Tom Hanks doesn’t buy just one property. He buys two—right next to each other in Pacific Palisades, California. And, after putting these two homes on the market last year—for $8.75 million and $9.25 million, respectively—Hanks and wife (and fellow actor) Rita Wilson offloaded to a single buyer for a total of $17.5 million, according to the New York Post. The less expensive home is a Spanish-style abode that was built in the 1930s and features original details, such as a tile staircase with intricate iron rails. The $9.25 million house, built in 1957, has a more traditional style, with hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings, though there’s also a playroom and a screening room. And Hanks will still be nearby; the actor owns two more homes in the area.
The first home is 3,930 square feet and has four bedrooms and five baths.
