Tom Hanks Makes New Wish With 'Big' Zoltar Machine

On Monday’s The Late Show, Tom Hanks reprised his role as someone who wants to be 30. In a sketch, he finds the magical Zoltar machine that turned his young character from Big into a 30-year-old man. Zoltar is played by Stephen Colbert.

This time Tom Hanks doesn’t wish to be big, he simply wishes he were 30 again. For this request, Zoltar wants more than just a quarter; he wants Hanks’s soul. But Hanks already spent his soul on financing That Thing You Do, so he settled for reading a screenplay written by Zoltar.

Zoltar grants Hanks his wish. Hanks says, “Awesome! That means tonight’s my last chance to see Inferno with a senior discount! Bye, Zoltar!” He leaves, but not on his BMX bike.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs Sunday nights at 8:00 p.m. on Fox.
