ESPN’s Adam Schefter announced the upcoming Super Bowls’ venues:

It was surely difficult to get past Minnesota, Atlanta and Los Angeles, as all three of those teams have fancy new stadiums coming up, and it’s common for those to host Super Bowls shortly after opening.

Here’s what Benson had to say about the failed attempt to host a Super Bowl by 2021:

It’s obviously a disappointment for the team, city and its fans, but keep in mind that New Orleans has hosted a large number of Super Bowls: The 1970, 1972, 1975 1978, 1981, 1986, 1990, 1997, 2002 and 2013 championship games were played there.

In some ways, it was time for other cities to get the chance. New Orleans has proven to be a great venue for the Super Bowl, but the voters spoke: It’s time to try out other places. It is nice to see Benson and co. remaining classy about it.

At least he doesn’t throw temper tantrums like other NFL owners have enjoyed doing over the years. But hey, all that matters for the Saints regarding a Super Bowl is to win another, regardless of where it’s played.

Then again, wouldn’t it be nice for them to win it all in Atlanta in 2019.
