TODAY: Turn in a gun, get a gift card at Orlando ‘Kicks 4 Guns’ event
Orlando police want your guns — and they’re willing to pay for them.

The Orlando Police Department is holding “Kicks 4 Guns” on Thursday, April 20.
It’s happening at Dr. James R. Smith Neighborhood Center, located at:
1723 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32805
Residents can show up between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to turn in a gun for a $50 gift card.

For those who participate, no questions will be asked and no Identification will be required, according to OPD.

Orlando police said the focus of the event is to “remove guns off our streets.”

In March, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office held a similar event and said it collected 87 guns, three of which had been reported stolen.
OCSO collected 87 guns today during Kicks 4 Guns! Of those guns, three of them had been reported as stolen.
