Today Calendar combines a high functionality with beautiful aesthetics to create one of the best Android calendar experiences available. Too bad its price is too high.
Pros
Elegantly useful: Today Calendar features a highly intuitive design with a sleek, graceful interface that allows you to manage events with ease by quickly adding and editing new entries and effortlessly switching between day, week, and monthly views. On top of this, there's the convenience of a Split View, which features a monthly calendar on half of the screen and details about individual entries on the other. The Agenda shows you a day-by-day schedule together with national holidays, special events, and your contacts' birthdays.
Stylish widgets: The semi-transparent agenda and month widgets not only make it easier for you to view upcoming events, but also to add a new event straight from your home screen. The widgets can be customized with different themes, opacity levels, and font sizes.
Full-month view: With this app, you can view event descriptions in the full-month view without having to individually tap on dates (as with the default Android calendar), making it a more useful calendar for busy people with many activities going on.
Cons
Pricey: Despite its elegance, clarity, and usefulness, Today Calendar feels a bit pricey, especially since it doesn't introduce any outstanding features of its own -- just a beautiful interface.
Issue with overlapping events: When you have two overlapping events in your calendar, no start dates are assigned to them, so they get messed up.
Bottom Line
A clear improvement over the default Google Calendar bundled with Android, Today Calendar makes event management an easy and stylish affair due to its intuitive interface and cool design. That said, to use it after the trial expires, you must be willing to pay up, without receiving any outstanding feature in return.
