This Tiny Library In the Middle of Nowhere Is Every Bookworm's Dream
If you daydream about building a tiny house, but don't think you could actually live somewhere that small, I've found the most amazing solution: a tiny library.
After building a vacation home in upstate New York, artist Jason Koxvold commissioned Studio Padron to repurpose the oak trees that were cleared for the construction of the main house into a tiny one-room library. Koxvold calls this tiny library in his backyard Hemmelig Rom, which translates to "secret room" in Norwegian. Doesn't it look like the most idyllic forest hideaway?
The library includes a large picture window, a wood stove, floor-to-ceiling shelving for books, and plenty of lounge space to snuggle up with the next item on your reading list.
There's also a bed in there so it can be used as a guest cottage (though no bathroom, so might be a little too rustic for overnight guests to use in the winter).
