Tinder users love including Elizabeth Warren in their bios more than any other presidential candidate
Elizabeth Warren was the politician most mentioned in Tinder bios in 2019, Tinder revealed on Thursday.
Tinder's 'the year in swipe' report also showed that Warren, Donald Trump, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez were among the most discussed politicians.
Tinder said people under the age of 25 now make up the majority of its users.
Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren was the politician most-mentioned in Tinder bios this year, according to data newly revealed from the dating app.
Tinder's report, titled "The Year in Swipe - What 2019 Taught Us About the Future," released on Thursday, showed Warren was the sole politician on the list of most-mentioned topics in tinder bios, which also included singer Billie Eilish, Lizzo, and Captain Marvel.
Tinder also released a separate list of names of the political figures who "helped give Tinder members something to talk about." They included Warren, President Donald Trump, and New York rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Other entries included House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, presidential candidates Sen. Bernie Sanders, former Vice President Joe Biden, and environmental activist Greta Thunberg. Tinder users also often include the Green New Deal in their bios, according to the data.
"As we approach an election year, it's no surprise that politics saw some serious action on Tinder," the report said.
Tinder said some political figures, such as representative Ocasio-Cortez and judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, were often discussed by their acronyms AOC and RBG.
Tinder's userbase has changed over the course of the year as well. People under the age of 25 — or Generation Z — now make up the majority of Tinder users, according to the report.
The facepalm was also the most-used emoji in Tinder bios, a 41% increase from 2018. 🤦♀️
