TIMES SQUARE, Manhattan (PIX11) – A ball drop will be held in Times Square in March – and no, it’s not to ring in 2025.

The famed symbol of the new year will transform into a “rock drop” to celebrate the night before St. Patrick’s Day, which is on Sunday. Whiskey maker Jameson has teamed up with “Weekend Update” comedians Colin Jost and Michael Che for the event.

The party will feature live entertainment and giveaways. Festivities start at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The rock drop is set to happen at 8 p.m., which is midnight in Ireland.
