Tiffany Haddish's Oscars red carpet dress comes with beautiful story
The Oscars red carpet is mostly beautiful people wearing nice clothes, but it can also be a place to show the world what means the most to you.
The ever-effervescent Tiffany Haddish did just that when she strolled her way into the 90th Academy Awards on Sunday. When host Michael Strahan asked her about her dress, she dropped a beautiful and personal story that elevated her outfit to something far beyond clothing.

Her father, an Eritrean, died last year. But before he did, he asked that if she were ever on the Oscars to represent her northeast African people. And she proudly did.
Strahan wasn't the only one charmed by Haddish's wonderful dress. The good people of Twitter also roundly applauded it, and caused her name quickly climb the list of trending topics on the platform.

Tiffany Haddish is like a real-life Cinderella.
Except it’s wasn’t a Prince that got her here. She did it herself. And it wasn’t easy. #Oscar#Oscar90 pic.twitter.com/TPzUzVmn0U— PassMeAPickle (@CeeLeeMusic) March 5, 2018
