Thursday Outlook: Plenty of sunshine, upper 70 temps around Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – High pressure will drive our forecast today as sunny skies and light winds take hold. This comes as temperatures are cooler to start courtesy of mostly clear skies.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and warm, peaking into the upper 70s throughout the day. Winds will be out of the north-northeast between 5 and 10 miles per hour. We’ll cool off slightly as clouds build overnight heading into Friday.

Friday morning will be in the low 50s with low 70s on tap to finish off the work week. Be on the lookout for a stray shower or two to develop late Friday. Rain should be relatively light and short-lived as we head into the weekend.

We’ll warm up Saturday & Sunday going from the upper 70s to the low 80s throughout the weekend. Look for mid-80s to take hold early next week with showers returning Tuesday into Wednesday.
