Thursday Outlook: Fog makes way for sunshine, 80 temps around Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – We’re off to another foggy start but at least the second half of the day won’t be the same as Wednesday. Partly cloudy skies and warm temperatures will take hold as storm chances take a bit of a break.

A dense fog advisory will be in effect through 10AM this morning with less than a quarter of a mile visibility possible for the first half of the morning. Fog will burn off and reveal some good sunshine as highs make a run for the low 80s throughout the day.

Winds will be relatively light out of the north between three and five miles per hour. Overnight lows will dip into the mid-60s as clouds roll back in. Friday will peak in the low 80s to finish off the work week with spotty storms returning for the peak heating hours of the day.

Afternoon rain and storm chance will linger through the weekend as temperatures only hit the upper 70s. Early next week will warm back up into the low to mid-80s heading into Wednesday.
