Throwback Thursday: Decade-Old Footage of 'Idol' Finalist Kree Harrison Singing on Rosie O'Donnell's Talk Show

You know those wide-eyed "American Idol" dreamers who gawk at the bright lights, having never been anything anywhere near so exciting? Well, Texas country crooner and "Idol" aspirant Kree Harrison is nuthin' like them.

Before we rev up the time machine and talk about Kree's early onstage adventures, let's revisit Kree's rise to the final two on "Idol." It's the first girl versus girl finale since Season 3 and the judges seem to agree that both Kree and Candice Glover are in it to win it. Kreedom fans love the girl for her singing and songwriting and because they're moved by her journey. She lost her dad to an airplane crash when she was only 12, and she lost her mom to a car accident when she was 16. So it's no wonder that time and again, she can reach deep for emotion like she did Wednesday night with her encore cover of Patty Griffin's "Up to the Mountain."

Kree was only 10 years old when she was handpicked to strut her stuff on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." Girlfriend brought her pipes and her manners, and it's hard to say what's more impressive about her first appearance: her cover of Martina McBride's "A Broken Wing," her zebra pattern cowboy hat, or her sweet Southern demeanor. It's no wonder that Ro & Co. brought her back on the show time and again.

Rosie's recent tweets indicate that she is still a fan:‪

Kree wasn't always alone onstage. She shared the spotlight with future whatever-happened-to-singer Joanna "JoJo" Levesque. And she came thisclose to a record deal with Disney owned Lyric Street Records, telling Rosie, "I tried out for 'em and they loved me, so I'm gonna move to Nashville." It never happened because of, what else, creative differences, which is why Kree is "Idol"-legal. But here's what did happen: Kree got to be on the show the same day as Tom Cruise, when he was still Tom Cruise in the hot way.

'Nuff talking, y'all. Let's get down to the music and back to the present and check out Kree's most recent turn on "Idol":
