BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) – On Monday, March 18, 2024, three Woodrow Wilson seniors on the men’s soccer team who have been playing together their whole lives, signed to play soccer at the collegiate level.

Shamad Wynne-Thompson, and twins Aiden and Cooper Bell, all signed letters of intent to play another four years as student athletes at the next level. The three of boys started playing soccer together when they were about five years old and haven’t stopped.

Wynne-Thompson told 59News it makes sense that they signed their letters of intent together because they pushed each other to be better all these years.

“Yeah. We’ve been around each other since prior on our five year, six year mark, But we didn’t really become like, super good friends until as was like, like I said, freshman year,” Wynne-Thompson said. “So being able to like, connect with them because they were though was better than me and they always push myself to better myself and so through them I can say I’m very grateful that they they gave me the chance to even be a collegiate athlete.”

Shamad will be playing for Concord University and the Bell brothers will be suiting up for Washington & Jefferson University.
