Three-time Grammy winner and film star coming to the Northwest WA Fair in Whatcom County

The Northwest Washington Fair has announced another major performer joining its lineup of Grandstand Entertainment this summer.

Last month, country singer Walker Hayes was announced as the first concert of the fair, with tickets already selling fast.

Now the fair has announced that Ludacris, an American rapper and actor who has won three Grammy awards and stars in the Fast and Furious franchise will perform at the fair on Saturday, Aug. 17.

Tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 22, but a presale is available on March 20 for those who subscribe to the “Friends of the Fair” email newsletter. Tickets can be purchased online, by calling 360-354-4111 or in person at the fair office at 1775 Front St. in Lynden.

“We are thrilled to welcome him to our 2024 Bank of the Pacific Grandstand Entertainment Series. ... As a father of four girls, his latest ventures include launching the ‘KidNation’ educational platform devoted to the enrichment of children, and the creation of the animated series Karma’s World, which launched in the Top 10 in 42 countries on Netflix, received two NAACP Award nominations and was recently picked up for a third season,” a news release from the NW WA Fair states.

The Northwest Washington Fair will run Aug. 8-17 at the NW WA Fairgrounds at 1775 Front St. in Lynden.

Last month fair officials announced country singer Walker Hayes is scheduled to perform Aug. 10 as part of his latest North American tour.
