Three recovering from crash involving motorcycle in Quinnesec

QUINNESEC, Mich. (WJMN) – Three people are still recovering from a crash in Quinnesec on Friday.

According to Michigan State Police (MSP), they, along with the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department, and Iron Mountain Police responded to a crash involving a car and motorcycle around 4 p.m. on May 3, 2024.

MSP reports the crash happened on US-2 near Lake Antoine Rd. The car was attempting to turn left from the parking lot of a gas station and onto US-2. MSP reports the car crossed into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle then crashed into the back of the car.

A woman from Iron Mountain was driving the car. A man and teenage passenger from Niagara, Wisconsin were on the motorcycle. All three were initially taken to Marshfield Hospital in Iron Mountain. Those on the motorcycle were airlifted to another facility with life-threatening injuries.

The names and conditions of those involved have not been released by authorities.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
