Blizzard is ramping up their announcements for the upcoming Overwatch Anniversary event. On Thursday, the developer teased three new “Arena” maps via Twitter, coming to the game on May 23.

The teaser shows off areas that look like as-of-yet unseen zones within Dorado, Eichenwald, and Anubis. Of course, that’s just speculation, but the maps do look awfully similar to some main game counterparts.

It’s a bit unclear exactly what an “Arena” map could be referring to, but I’d be willing to venture a guess they mean something along the lines of Ecopoint: Antarctica, the map currently used for the 1v1 Mystery Duel and 3v3 Elimination modes. If these maps are designed for the same purpose, it will be the first time players have competed somewhere other than Antarctica in those modes.

The Overwatch Anniversary event will be running from May 23 – June 12, with a free weekend happening May 26-29. For more, head over to the Yahoo Esports Overwatch hub.
